Privacy Notice

LAST UPDATE:  February 29, 2024

Your privacy is very important to us. We believe that privacy is a sensitive issue and that your personal information is solely yours for disclosure. We have never sold your personal information in the past and currently have no plans to do so.

In November 1999, the United States Congress enacted the "gramm-leach" bliley (glb act) financial services modernization law. This law modernizes financial institutions in the United States of America by enabling new business combinations between previously unaffiliated financial industries such as banks and insurance companies. This federal law included a number of changes that affected financial institutions, including Title v, that enacts important new requirements to protect the privacy of consumer and customer information as of July 1, 2001.

Glb protects non-public personal information from consumers seeking to obtain a financial product or service for personal or family purposes. Protections extend not only to individuals who become policyholders (customers) of AIG Insurance Company - Puerto Rico, but also to consumers, who request or request information about our products and services, but do not become customers of AIG Insurance Company - Puerto Rico.

On September 26, 2002, the Puerto Rico insurance commissioner enacted Regulation No. 75, which ordered insurance companies in Puerto Rico to send privacy notices to each policyholder. The above notices will instruct customers about the privacy policy of their respective insurance companies. These privacy notices will be sent to current customers at the beginning of the relationship and later.

These notices will describe what type of consumer information is collected by AIG Insurance Company - Puerto Rico, how AIG Insurance Company - Puerto Rico keeps that information private, under what conditions AIG Insurance Company - Puerto Rico may disclose information and to whom. Please note that we will send you a copy of our privacy policy as soon as you request it.

If you have any questions about our use of your Personal Information, you may send an email to: customerservicepr@aig.com  or write to: AIG Insurance Company – Puerto Rico, PO BOX 10181, San Juan, PR 00908-1181.
